Per default, documents will be sorted according to there relevance with respect to the query specified by the user. Other sorting possibilities, i.e. date, author and mimetype are also offered (1). You can configure DynaQ to create thumbnails of your documents with the help of Libre/OpenOffice and Ghostscript. In the case DynaQ created a thumbnail for a document, it will be shown inside the document representation (2). If you click on a thumbnail it will be enlarged.

If you double click on a document inside the metadata/snippets list or the birdeye view, a document will be opened in the according native application, e.g. pdfs with Acrobate, docs with LibreOffice, etc. Further, if you right-click on a document, DynaQ offers you a menu with further actions. The type of a document will be shown as mimetype icon (4).

If you have many significant thumbnails or if you use DynaQ also for searching images, you can switch to the 'Picture mode'. The result list will show thumbnails only, in the case they exists (1). |
