# Welcome to DynaQ
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
**DynaQ** (http://dynaq.opendfki.de) stands for innovative searching and text analyzing paradigms, ready for big data scenarios.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
As an acronym for `Dynamic Queries for document based, personal information spaces` it started in year 2005 as a research project funded by the `Foundation for innovation Rhineland-Palatinate`. The goal was to build an inquiry system to explore textual information spaces, supporting the user with the search paradigm 'orienteering'. The result was a desktop search engine which is still innovative and unique nowadays, in year 2021.

|
Over the years, **DynaQ** becomes the superior name of a whole bunch of textual base technology components used in our projects at [DFKI SDS department](https://www.dfki.de/en/web/research/research-departments/smart-data-knowledge-services/). With the origin implementation as a starting point, DynaQ technology components are still evolving, where we enhance the portfolio with state of the art technology in the context of our research and industry projects.

|
These enhancements are not only regarding the origin desktop search engine, but are highly related to backend technology used in arbitrary projects with textual background. In this context, we also offer **DynaQ** technology plugins for
